Το Κάμπινγκ Ιερισσός στεγάζει από τη Δευτέρα 13 μέχρι και το Σάββατο 18 Ιουλίου τους συμμετέχοντες του καλοκαιρινού σχολείου που διοργανώνεται από το Πράσινο Ινστιτούτο στο στο Κέντρο Πολιτισμού στην Ιερισσό Χαλκιδικής, με θέματα την ευρωπαϊκή και βαλκανική ενεργειακή πολιτική, το φαινόμενο του θερμοκηπίου και τις συνεπαγόμενες κλιματικές αλλαγές, την καμπάνια του Ευρωπαϊκού Πράσινου Κόμματος για τα θέματα αυτά, τα πυρηνικά εργοστάσια, την εξόρυξη χρυσού και τα φαραωνικά έργα στα Βαλκάνια.

– Climate Change Introduction (policies and intentions re climate change)
– Scientific data and expected impact in the Balkans and Eastern Mediterranean
– Adaptation measures re impacts on water-food, coasts, tourism, cities, etc.
– COP negotiations with focus on COP21 Paris: expectations, the role of key countries and the new civic movement
– Successful stories from Balkans (adaptive measures and policies implemented, societal mobilization)

-The national dimension (Balkan countries): participants provide inputs on the energy profile, situation, intentions, challenges and prospects in their countries

Wednesday, 15th of July – Field trip
Gold mining, Field trip to Skouries (gold mining area)

12:00-13:00: Meeting with the local authorities of the Municipality of Aristotelis

18:00-21:00: Visit to the gold mining area. Learn about the local resistance movement and meet with local activists
