Nea Roda has been named for the place of origin of its inhabitants, the town of Roda on the Sea of Marmara. It is the largest settlement of refugees who came to Northern Halkidiki after the destruction of Asia Minor in 1822.
Visitors to Nea Roda have the opportunity to enjoy the locals’ incomparable hospitality, and the area’s gentle seas and lovely beaches. Lacey shorelines with crystal-clear waters lap at your feet, while a walk to the chapel of Agioi Theodoroi, high above the port, at sunset, will reveal images of unrivaled beauty that will accompany you for the rest of your life.
Of course, there are also organized beaches with beach bars and nightlife options for guaranteed entertainment both day and night!
