The waterfalls of Varvara are hidden inside the dense forest that belongs to Varvara, but area actually closer to Olympiada. Nature\u2019s symphony includes two amazing waterfalls, complemented by the evergreen yews, alders, lindens, beeches, and wild hazelnuts growing all around, while the rocks with bright hues form a sort of gateway up high. Both the location and the sense of peace, serenity and communing with nature make you feel like you\u2019ve discovered a piece of heaven on earth. <\/p>\n

Leave your vehicle in the parking area and enter the ravine to see the two waterfalls. The site used to be called \u201cof Aggelousis\u201d and the water flows to Mavrolakas, the stream the forms the border between Varvara and Olympiada. The first waterfall if visible from high up; in the second one, you will feel the force of the water, even in the summertime. The hiking path is short (5-10 minutes) and the wooden bridges and proper markings help you enjoy the unique landscape. The place is ideal for families with small children, who are sure to love it! <\/p>\n

To get there, take the paved forest road from Varvara to Olympiada, which is one of the most beautiful asphalt routes in Halkidiki, pass by the distinctive 5 Fountains (this area is also known as Krasoneri), and continue downhill until you see the sing on your left. Drive on the passable dirt road for 2.3 km and pay attention because you will need to turn all the way to the left on the hairpin turn. Another 900 meters and you will find the parking area. If you go slightly left, after 4 km you will find a mining area, whereas if you continue east, you will reach Kalyvia Varvaras. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
